
Emart announced on the 18th that it has filed a complaint against its unregistered executive, Mr. Lee, on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (breach of trust).
The amount related to the charges is 11.4 billion won. This corresponds to 0.09% of Emart's equity capital (approximately 13.184 trillion won) based on its consolidated financial statements at the end of 2024.
The company stated, "We will take all necessary measures in accordance with due process for all matters proceeding after the submission of the complaint, and we plan to actively cooperate with the investigations of the relevant authorities."
It also added, "The amount involved in the charges is based on the contents of the complaint and is not a finalized figure, and it is subject to change depending on the results of the investigation by the investigative authorities," and "We will disclose relevant information if there are future developments or confirmed facts."
